Evening skincare – how to use TAMA® products

We present to you a ready and proven nighttime care plan.

Check out our proven method and get the results you expect, that is, deeply hydrated and smooth skin. Reduce discoloration, puffiness, and dark circles under your eyes.

We start with the basics, which is cleansing.

We perform a short, gentle facial massage to support cleansing. The massage warms up the skin, thanks to which the pores open and the cleansing cosmetic has a chance to "pull out" what is left in them.

Next, we wash the face with black soap, avoiding the eye area. Slightly moisten the soap with water and create a lather, which we collect with a makeup removal sponge, then thoroughly wash the face and décolleté. Repeat this process at least twice, until the water squeezed from the sponge is clean.

Next, on a lightly dampened cotton pad, we pour a few drops of shea oil and in this way cleanse the skin. Facial cleansing with oil (Oil Cleansing Method) is a method that confirms the well-known chemistry lesson saying 'like dissolves like.'
Sebum is fat – that's why oils naturally help dissolve sebum along with impurities.

We do facial massages. Remember, the face has about 70 muscles that are responsible for expression, so doing a short massage every day is very important. Massage your skin in circular motions.

The basic techniques of a relaxing facial massage are mainly based on loosening tense muscles after a long day and improving blood circulation in the skin of the face. To start, you can glide the bones of your bent fingers across your entire face upwards, adjusting the pressure depending on the area. This will promote lymph flow in the circulatory system. Focus especially on the cheeks – the cheekbones, temples, jaw, and under the chin area. Use your fingertips to massage your forehead, making vertical movements from the eyebrows to the hairline. Smooth out the nasolabial folds by gently sliding your fingers from the corners of your mouth to the sides of your nose.

After a short massage, wet a towel in hot water—or in room temperature water for people with dilated blood vessels—and remove the oil from your face. This treatment will open your pores, helping you remove all impurities from your skin.
Importantly, oiling doesn’t completely remove sebum from the face, so this treatment doesn’t disrupt your skin’s lipid balance.
After a full cleansing treatment combined with a short massage, apply a cold towel to your face to close the pores.

Finally, apply your favorite shea butter. Remember, shea is one of the few oils you can use on your face regardless of your skin type. Even though shea has a greasy texture, it doesn’t clog pores, and it’s packed with vitamins E, F, K, and natural antioxidants. It evens out skin tone, reduces wrinkles, intensely regenerates, and has anti-inflammatory effects.

Always melt the butter in your hands first before rubbing it in, and only then massage it into the skin of your face and décolleté, remember the eye area.

If in the morning you still feel a slightly greasy layer on your skin, remember that the fact that the oils aren’t absorbed is a sign of a well-developed hydrolipid barrier, meaning your skin only needs to take in a certain amount of fats from the outside. It will absorb exactly what it should!

Unrefined oil is 100% active ingredients, which is much more than in creams. A cream is usually a mix of water and oil, and in most creams, the fat phase doesn’t exceed 50% so the cream can absorb well. That’s why using natural, unrefined oils in your evening skincare is so important, so your skin is deeply nourished, hydrated, and gets the maximum dose of vitamins and nutrients.

Before your morning skincare routine, wash your face thoroughly. In the morning, for cleansing your face, we recommend our white shea soap because of its strong moisturizing properties. You'll be working on moisturizing your skin right from the cleansing stage.

TAMA® cosmetics are extremely versatile; you can use them in different ways depending on your needs.
